    Organizing

    Organizing is more than pretty bins and containers. It is a series of habits to keep your space tidy and items easier to find when needed. There is no “one size fits all” solution. The first step is decluttering. Once that is done, the remaining items are sorted into categories. An assessment is made to figure out how the space is best utilized and if containers make sense to use in that area. Sometimes everything needed is already in the home being under utilized. Suggestions are made and it is always in the hands of the client to make the final decision if the set up works for them. Over time it is okay to move the items in the space if needed for better flow. The most important step is assigning a “home” for each item so it can be found easily and put back when not in use.

    Household Management

    Everyone needs some type of household manage skills in order to live independently or even with friends or family. It is not easy juggling all of the tasks that are needed to have an efficient and less stressful home environment. Precisely Practical can help create systems to keep track of a multitude of things to make sure they don’t pile up and get overwhelming. Some examples would be to create and maintain a calendar, budget, grocery list, meal planning, chores chart for children, home maintenance schedule, cleaning schedule, party planning guide, and even a vehicle maintenance schedule.

    Sorting & Decluttering

    Items within the space will be sorted into categories of Keep, Trash, Donate, Sell, and Not Sure. Once those categories have been completed, the next step will begin. Trash will be removed. Donations will be removed. Items to sell will be done on your own. Items in Not Sure category will be looked at again or put aside for you to go through again at a later date.

    Categorizing & Storage Solutions

    Once it has been decided what items will stay in the space, they will be sorted into different categories like clothing, dishes, office supplies, toys, etc.

    The space and items to be in that space will be looked at to determine the best storage solutions. A lot of times there is no need to purchase extra bins as we can make use of what is already available.

    Senior Downsizing

    Great care and attention to the needs of each individual and their situation to make the best choices for the future space is taken into account. Guidance is given regarding what may need to be a priority to keep and what may be better suited with someone else whether that be a family member, friend, neighbor, or donation site.

    Moving

    The goal is to reduce stress and anxiety whether you are moving and need help decluttering and packing or getting into a new home and need help unpacking and organizing your new space. Items are packed carefully and boxed as well as labeled with the room it belongs in and items inside the box to make unpacking easier. When unpacking, time is taken to carefully assess the new space to determine the best place for each item according to how the space will be used and by whom.

    Event & Holiday Decorations

    Whether you are having a special event or guests over for the holidays, we can get your space ready by removing any unneeded items and storing them away in another room or location until the event or holiday has passed. The space will be decorated with items you have on hand or purchase as needed. Changing items back to the previous state after an event or holiday can also done.

    Yard/Garage/Estate Sale Preparation

    If a sale is needed, we can help determine what would be sellable as well as how to stage items for the sale. Running the sale itself is not usually cost effective but can be done upon request.
